Introduction to Convolution Neural Network and its Application to Image Analysis

Deep learning has been a hot topic since the dominant performance by AlphaGo. Convolution Neural Network (CNN) is one famous model for deep learning especially in image processing. In this talk, I will start with the idea of Neural Network followed by CNN and its application. I will also discuss an interesting idea of “Contrastive Divergence” for estimating the parameters of CNN. Contrastive divergence approach is MCMC with very few iterations (even only one). I will give an example to show why this will work.
