Dynamical degrees of monomial maps.

The asymptotic growth of the degree under iteration can be measured by the dynamical degrees. They form an interesting family of invariants for the dynamical system. I will first introduce these term with examples.
Then I will explain my work of computing the dynamical degrees for monomial maps.
